Eliet Minor 4S
The Eliet Minor 4S green waste shredders are th smallest of the Eliet (pronounced 'elite') range eguipped with a blowing spout . These high quality machines are fitted with a 12 bladed rotor holding 12 High Speed Steel double sided, reversible blades. As they do not utilise a crosscutting blade working against an anvil like a chipper they are less prone to damage from dirty material containing stones etc. They will also handle green waste well, unlike a chipper. The shredded material is fed from the 12 bladed rotor to an impellor which propels the material from the machine via a chute which can blow into a trailer or onto a heap.
Blades
These robust blades, driven by a belt drive from a Honda 6.5hp GX200 engine, will handle material up to 50 mm in diameter. with a copping speed of 30000 cuts per minute. The output of this garden shredder can be up to 16 wheelbarrows an hour, imagine the progress you can make in you East Devon garden with a machine like this!
Raw material is fed into the wide 190mm x 250mm hopper and past a safety flap before being processed and discharged. Should the machine block through over enthusiastic feeding it is simply cleared by dropping the heavy duty safety flap.
Safety first
Safety switches prevent the use of the machine without the guards being in place.
Overall dimensions of this model are L 1250 x W 520 x H 1100mm and the total weight is 92kg.
Just like any other petrol powered machine the efficiency of the engine is only as good as the quality of the fuel that is put in, and let us be quite honest about this, the quality of modern day fuel is poor. The problem with this sort of machine is that it used seasonally and can spend long periods left alone and dejected in the far corner of the shed. Any petrol in the machine will rapidly deteriorate causing subsequent starting and running issues.
For these reasons we strongly urge the use of Aspen 4 fuel which is chemically stable and will never deteriorate, resulting in first time starting every time.
