Eliet Maestro Country
The Eliet Maestro Country green waste shredders are the second smallest of the Eliet (pronounced 'elite') range . These high quality machines are fitted with a 12 bladed rotor holding 12 Resist/6 (tm) double sided, reversible blades. These blades cut with the grain against the resistance of a grating. As they do not utilise a crosscutting blade working against an anvil like a chipper they are less prone to damage from dirty material containing stones etc. They will also handle green waste well, unlike a chipper.
These robust blades, driven by a direct drive from a Briggs and Stratton 6.5hp XR950 engine, will handle material up to 45 mm in diameter. with a copping speed of 36000 cuts per minute. The output of this garden shredder can be up to 14 wheelbarrows an hour, imagine the progress you can make in you East Devon garden with a machine like this!
The shredded material passes through a standard gate with holes just the right size to provide shredded wood for the borders or for composting, before being collected in an 80 litre slide our drawer container underneath the chopper. This container can be easily carried to the disposal area an tipped out. Safety switches prevent the use of the machine without the container being in place.
For those users processing higher than average rates of green matter a special green material grating is available as an option to mimise the chance of blocking.
Overall dimensions of this model are L 1360 x W 650 x H 1400mm and the total weight is 63kg.
Just like any other petrol powered machine the efficiency of the engine is only as good as the quality of the fuel that is put in, and let us be quite honest about this, the quality of modern day fuel is poor. The problem with this sort of machine is that it used seasonally and can spend long periods left alone and dejected in the far corner of the shed. Any petrol in the machine will rapidly deteriorate causing subsequent starting and running issues.
For these reasons we strongly urge the use of Aspen 4 fuel which is chemically stable and will never deteriorate, resulting in first time starting every time.
