This post was prompted by a new customer who came to see us from Tiverton last week. He searched the internet and found that Garden Kit, near Exeter are an East Devon stockist of Aspen fuel. So he came to see us.

We promote Aspen for use in all garden machinery, simply because Aspen is fantastic and garden machinery is what we do. But we have customers who buy Aspen from us to use in their classic motorbikes, cars, generators and even boats and model aeroplanes. This customer came to us to buy Aspen 4 for his Coleman Camping Stove.

The Fuel Situation

Now, bear in mind that it's October 2022 as I write this. We are on the tail end of a worldwide pandemic which has seen us locked down for months on end, worrying about when the shops will run out of food and toilet roll. There's an ongoing war in Ukraine, causing uncertainty across the globe. Our economy is suffering, and fuel prices are through the roof. We are entering into the colder months and have been told to prepare for blackouts. This is a huge deal. Many people have changed the way they live in an attempt to be more self-sufficient and prepared for future shortages. Many are dusting off their camping stoves and stocking up on fuel. Ordinarily this customer would have bought Colemans liquid fuel for his camping stove. Unfortunatley he wasn't able to get any. So, he searched the interned for an alternative and was delighted to find Aspen Fuel at Garden Kit in Sidmouth. We are delighted he found us too!

Clean burning, with no smell.

Aspen 4 is the perfect fuel to use in all types of stoves and lanterns which are designed to work on regular petrol or multi-stove fuel. As the harmful gases of regular petrol burn, they leave an obnoxious smell which is unpleasant and can leave us feeling nauseous. It also taints the taste of the food. We sell Aspen 4 in sealed 5 Litre cans, which currently cost £24. A quick google search has told me that a 1 Litre bottle of Colemans Liquid Fuel is around £10, so £50 for 5 Litres. This makes Aspen 4 Fuel less than half the price of the Colemans alternative.
